    Update für StreetComplete bringt neue Aufgaben und Verbesserungen
    Heute wurde die Version 9 der App StreetComplete veröffentlicht, mit der man jederzeit unterwegs einfache Aufgaben lösen kann, um die Karte bzw. Datenbank von OpenStreetMap zu vervollständigen bzw. zu verbessern.

    It seems crazy that I have to go to such lengths to get admin rights on a device I own, and uninstall bundled apps I don't want. I seem to remember an anti-trust law suite that successfully forced #Microsoft to stop bundling Internet Exploiter with Windows in a way that made it hard to remove or disable. Could we use that precedent to liberate #Android from compulsory #GoogleApps?

    @strypey indeed, a full #GNU / #Linux distribution instead of an #Android one (this one which I think is unmaintainable given how it doesn't follow Make nor autotools conventions and is a bundling monster). A requirement would be to be a free/libre distribution, although It would be good to use an already approved one and push/commit the phone project changes directly to that distribution project, instead of reinventing the wheel or have another distribution to be evaluated.

    I've been using #markor on #android for plain text and markdown editing. The developer keeps making lovely little additions that make it a useful tool without breaking anything.

    It's a terrific example of an app that quietly gets better at doing a relatively unpopular yet critical task.

    I was using IA Writer before I switched to using as many #foss #floss apps as I could. No regrets.
