El capítulo "#vigilancia" es muy duro, en concreto la sección "Ojos en el bolsillo". Los cuatro sistemas independientes de #geolocalización de tu #smartphone, que averiguan en todo momento dónde estás (y con quién), y a dónde vas, y cómo. Suma giróscopo, acelerómetro, sensor lumínico, magnetómetro, sensor de proximidad... y las cámaras y los micrófonos. Combinando datos de tan distintos sensores, se puede sacar de todo. Por ejemplo, lo que tecleas. Y casi todas las aplicaciones venden tus datos a uno o varios #databrokers.

En este capítulo y en posteriores hay varios ejemplos de lo baratos, extensos y exhaustivos que son los datos que compran y venden estos data brokers. No solo cuentan con la información de los móviles, #google y #facebook: el tema de #satélites y #cámaras es durillo también. Y la #AWS, que es donde #Amazon guarda la mitad de "la #nube". De la potencia que da el procesar todo este #bigdata, nos encontramos con horrores como #Palantir, o, en el caso de China, del #sistemadecréditosocial: la primera dictadura digital.

Daily reminder that #Startpage is literally #Google and by using it,you directly support an evil surveillance company through the "anonymized" #AdSense ads it embeds into the results.Additionally they use shitty,manipulated results of Googles algorithms which weight the rules they give to website operators (SEO) over the websites actual content.That's totally fucked up and it's a very bad idea to use it.My recommendations:
- https://metager.de (DE) / https://metager.org (EN) is operated by a German non-profit and it's open source on its own #GitLab instance.It uses multiple sources for the results which help it staying neutral and it's easy to use,I already recommended it successfully to many not that experienced users
- https://github.com/asciimoo/searx is open source and available on many small instances hosted by independent admins and uses even more sources which you can select yourself in the settings.There are no ads and no tracking.Also there are many categories in which you can search.Good instances I tested myself are https://srx.sx , https://searx.spootle.de , https://search.bka.li and https://search.toot.koeln
PS: If you prefer Google results for some absolutely not understandable reasons,you can use it by setting it as the only source in one of the #Searx instances.By doing it that way,Google won't get money and you won't see any ads.
