Using Windows? Sad or happy to say: they just copied all your files to their servers :yay:

Windows (so M$) was CAUGHT for automatically turning their OneDrive cloud backups ON. THEY know wat yer own best.

The planned Recall feature of Spydows? @ Microsoft (for some reason) they want to take screenshots (nice & automatic) on what ye doing on ye PC.

What do YOU think? Considering Linux? :thinkhappy:

Good gnus, everyone! There are three shiny new versions of Linux-libre out: 6.1.98-gnu, 6.6.39-gnu, and 6.9.9-gnu. In a world where control often lies in the hands of a few, free software's a beacon of hope for all. Choose freedom - where every line of code empowers you, not controls you. Together, let's build a world where technology serves the user. https://www.fsfla.org/ikiwiki/selibre/linux-libre/ #FreeSoftware #SoftwareFreedom #GNU #Linux #Linuxlibre

Fedora turns on Firefox prototype advertiser measurement crap by default. You probably want to turn it off. People might want to file bugs for other distributions if they've done the same.

nmbl: we don’t need a bootloader

https://fizuxchyk.wordpress.com/2024/06/13/nmbl-we-dont-need-a-bootloader/

We are working on a new scheme to replace the GRUB bootloader with a fast, secure, #Linux based, user-space solution: nmbl (for no more bootloader), and we need your use cases, feedback, and help.

#Linux question. #Firefox had been crashing and slowing down my system (Mint), it seems because it made something in systemd hang. I just turned off #DRM content and it no longer crashes (up to now) and it even seems to go faster. Has anyone had a similar experience?
