    We are looking for more maintainers for specific apps in #FDroid. Here is a list of some that would need some love:

    * GNU #Ring
    * #VLC
    * #Fennec
    * #Vespuccio
    * #GhostCommander
    * #Linphone

    If you know how to build software in general, no particular Android experience is required. This can be picked up as you go :)

    All of those already have working recipes available but all of them also have quirks that require manual action when updating.

    Please get in contact, if you use one of these and are interested!

    Just discovered the #Briar secure messaging app. Like #GNU #Ring and #Tox client it needs no server to pass messages between users (#P2P), and like #ServalProject aims to be able to do so even without an internet connection if the handsets are close enough together

    You know what would be awesome?

    A #decentralized #selfhosted #federated #identity #server that doesn't require a degree from MIT to install & configure which works with a wide variety of other #selfhosted software. And while we're at it - throw in #Libravatar as well.

    Right now, I have a #ring id, a #PGP key, a cloud id (#nextcloud) a mastodon id, a #Matrix id and email - all different.
    It's a mess. I really just want to be "Falgn0n" everywhere - y'know?
