Estoy trabajando en un #ezine de #xmpp para principiantes. Sobretodo para compartir con colegas, con organizaciones con las que tengo afinidad y por su puesto con la gente del #fediverso. Quiero agregar una sección con un listado de proveedores recomendados para eso estoy usando: https://providers.xmpp.net/ pero se que hay muchos que no aparecenen este listado, así que agradecería si conocés alguno me lo compartieras para chequearlo. Quiero aprovechar el tirón para tratar de salir de otras redes centralizadas por lo que busco una alternativa a #whasapp y #telegram. Ayer miré #signal, pero también está centralizada y estoy leyendo problemas con la privacidad, lo mismo que #SimpleX. Lo que leo parece prometedor #Matrix, más flexible y fácil que #conversesion y #XMPP (teniendo en cuenta que trataré de convencer a mis contactos) ¿que opináis y que recomendáis para #MensajeriaInstantanea.?

You can now add hashtags to your #xmpp / #jabber channels on search.jabber.network! Just add a series of hashtags to the end of your channel's description.

Note that we maintain an allowlist of tags here: https://search.jabber.network/tags/ Tags which are not on that list are ignored.

This release also marks the implementation of a feature people have been asking since forever: Search #xmpp / #jabber channels by language. You can now do that!

To search for all channels in french, you could type "lang:fr" in the search bar. Like this: https://search.jabber.network/search?q=lang%3Afr

"lang:foo" can be combined with other search terms.

A new project-like thing: Siltamesh is a bridge server which forwards messages between meshtastic and XMPP channels.
If you have a meshtastic radio connected to a computer, it allows you to send and receive meshtastic messages with your favorite XMPP client over the internet. A specialized client is not needed, except for radio configuration.
Two-way bridging works only for private channels at the moment, but this may change in the future.
