https://ap.blog.lollipopcloud.solutions/~/News/funding-misconception
TLDR: We'd like to state that we are **NOT** receiving any funding from the Arm Foundation, Works on Arm OR Packet.com. We have been graciously granted access to a very powerful Arm server. Nothing else. -

Quick update.
----------
We've received a lot of support for receiving funding form the Arm foundation.
***As much as we'd ❤️ that to be true... we have received zero funding to date from Arm (or any other company for that matter).***
----------
The Works on Arm initiative granted us access to a HiSilicon based Arm server provided by Packet.com. That's the only things we've received as part of our sponsorship.
We do acknowledge the hardware we have access to is non-trivial, amazing and we're using it to the fullest extent possible. 😄
----------
Our current financial situation is:
We have 2 backers on our Open Collective and that is the full extent of our incoming dollars and cents. ($55 / mo before fees, both backers signed up in early February 2019). To date the project has been fiscally supported by the founders own money. -
Lollipop Cloud (cloud@ap.lollipopcloud.solutions)'s status on Wednesday, 20-Feb-2019 05:33:47 UTC Lollipop Cloud We are integrators.
We hunt cool tech down, figure out how to make it useful and save you as much pain as possible.
We also work to ensure the developers of software we use don't stink at life (TechBros are shown the 🚪 as fast as possible).
Because we integrate lots of stuff together to make it useful and document it heavily doesn't mean you have to use it as-is.
Our approach to clouds is very open-ended and very much a "Choose Your Own Adventure". You can borrow chunks, pieces and parts or use it as-is.
Your call.
A LOT of technical folks have started following us and we want to be sure everyone knows that we don't claim anything more than having a solid approach to self-hosting, documentation and the ability to adapt our approach to advanced technical needs. -
Lollipop Cloud (cloud@ap.lollipopcloud.solutions)'s status on Wednesday, 20-Feb-2019 04:57:43 UTC Lollipop Cloud Some things we've sorted out for dynamic config
- Traefik makes life AWESOME
- lighttpd can be jiggled to make munin, hugo and file services work behind traefik
- gitea is working with traefik
- cryptpad is working with traefik
- plume is workign with traefik
- pleroma is working with traefik
- privatebin is working with traefik
That looks an awful lot like our key services outside of chat...

Lollipop Cloud (cloud@ap.lollipopcloud.solutions)'s status on Wednesday, 20-Feb-2019 04:33:06 UTC Lollipop Cloud @thegibson mentioned battery powered lollipops...
We may have, uh, figured that out 😉
In the pics are @kemonine 's GPD pocket, Goal Zero Nomad 70, Orange Pi PC 2e and LTE modem setup.
The lollipop has an Adafruit Ultimate GPS module, the LTE modem is a Quectel EC25 with Pulse Larsen blade antennas, active powered GPS antenna and a CH04 serial adapter from SparkFun.

Lollipop Cloud (cloud@ap.lollipopcloud.solutions)'s status on Wednesday, 20-Feb-2019 04:29:53 UTC Lollipop Cloud This is a photo of our original build LAN.
Our Works on Arm sponsorship allows us access to a really nice Arm server that reduced most of the hardware in the pic.
For the first ~9 months (even before our first public post) this was what we used for all of our Jenkins build needs.

Portainer and Traefik UIs are working...
We have some cleanup and templates to build but... The process of making our containers much easier to deploy has begun.

its the missing piece for dynamic configuration of web services.
some really cool things to simplify self hosted clouds are in the pipeline and we cant wait to share! -
Lollipop Cloud (cloud@ap.lollipopcloud.solutions)'s status on Thursday, 14-Feb-2019 06:06:03 UTC Lollipop Cloud If you're technically inclined there is a TON of stuff in the 🍭 ☁️ Docker registry for use.
Quite a few of the containers are deployed to different production environments as rexmixes and/or basic lollipop style configs at present.
We're working on simplifying the deployment strategies at present to hopefully make things less technical.

Lollipop Cloud (cloud@ap.lollipopcloud.solutions)'s status on Wednesday, 13-Feb-2019 03:25:43 UTC Lollipop Cloud Our Armbian builds continue to churn.
With the shuffle some operations during the build are taking a little longer than expected but we think we're past the worst of the "catch up".
Keep an eye on the download site if you're an Orange Pi user, over the next 24 hours or so a number of updated builds will be published. -

We just finished the last of the registry shuffle and download site shuffle.
Everything should be back online 100%

Our registry is currently offline for the shuffle.
We've mirrored the contents to the new machine and are starting the migration.
Should be back online soon. -
Lollipop Cloud (cloud@ap.lollipopcloud.solutions)'s status on Tuesday, 12-Feb-2019 20:45:58 UTC Lollipop Cloud 📣 PSA - SERVICE INTERRUPTION 📣
We've started a little bit of a shuffle.
Given our Azure hosting costs... we're going to be moving our download site and docker registry one more time...
We are presently mirroring everything to a new home and once the mirroring is complete we plan on shutting down the registry and download site for the move.
We'll keep you in the loop as we work through the shuffle [again] -
