@randynose I wish I'd had learned about it earlier. I usually look inward, looking for something we broke. Oh well. Maybe next week will be productive.
Wasted a couple of days trying to figure out why Chrome tabs would white out on our RDS servers. No software updates had taken place. Google turned an experiment flag on Tuesday to cause this. Thanks Google. Good number of admins upset about it. https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1024837
@alysonsee Makes sense. Hopefully, one day, more EV charging infrastructure and advancements in battery tech will make range anxiety a thing of the past. @kinetix
@namida12 Neat mounting bar. Video editing can be time consuming even with a beefy computer. I'd rather spend my time riding. I hope you are able to get more cycling in soon. ☮
@kinetix All good points. I hadn't thought about the time I save avoiding the gas pump. 👍 Electric vehicles are still pretty rare in the South Carolina lowcountry. There aren't many public charging stations either. I'm glad my employer has a charging station. I just charge while I work. @alysonsee
@alysonsee The charging duration depends on the charger type. The one I used today was a DC quick charger (level 3). To go from 0 to full will take more than hour. The Bolt EV has a capacity of 238 miles.
I normally use a level 2 charger at work. It can take 6 hours to to from 0 to full. Which is fine because I'm at work at least 10 hours. I live in an apartment so that is why I charge at work.
If you are taking a trip of more than 230 miles you'll need to plan where DC quick charging stations are. You can grab something to eat while you wait.
I haven't purchased any gasoline in over 2 years. I love my Bolt EV. 🔌
