    https://www.sarahsmarsh.com/heartland-in-the-news
    "Smarsh maps her family’s impoverished lives against the destruction of the working class that the Reagan era wrought: the demise of the family farm, the dismantling of public health care, the defunding of public schools, and wages so stagnant that full time laborers could no longer pay the bills. Readers will learn what Smarsh did: the working poor in America are sold a lie. Working hard in this country probably won’t get you ahead after all."

    That's my hood.

    ...Capitalism could very easily crash and burn in climate change and the ensuing chaos. No other system is ready to take over. The cooperatives are the closest we got in a lot of places.

    > who, organized in what way, does what...

    You, who are in touch with lots of coopratives, organize them into cooperating with each other in larger and larger networks.

    If they are missing something from their circular flows, organize that.

    Figure our what are the biophysical limits to their resource extractions and stay within those.

    These people claim to be working on solutions, or more like adaptations because there are no solutions, the tipping points have been exceeded: https://deepadaptation.ning.com/

    Unfortunately, you need to join their group to read them. More that is more open here, but this stuff still tends to focus on the problems:

    @matslats who moderates the last group is in the fediverse.

    I'm using ActivityPub with our team in a P2P manner now. Experimenting with combos of P2P and federations. This identity I am tooting from now is a one of many in social.coop. @bhaugen is just me, P2P, federated with a few other personal pubs and also social.coop and all the other multi-person sites addressed in this toot.

    @Matt_Noyes @GuerillaOntologist
    http://www.fifthseasoncoop.com/fifth-season-bylaws is a multi-stakeholder producer-buyer-worker cooperative where the workers are members.The "buyers" are not end-consumers but mostly institutions like schools and hospitals, and some retail stores.

    The Social Justice Center in Madison WI is a local institution that has global impact. They just started a campaign to renovate their building to include the Mutual Aid Network, among other good things.
