This kind of stuff on Mastodon irritates me. Like I feel I'm being given a lecture about how preserving teh federation is more important than preventing people from harassing me. If I've reached the point where I'm blocking a domain...I know what I want.

It's telling to me that the reaction techbros have to "walled gardens" is "we have to free the information" not "we should make people feel safe enough to participate in the internet at large"
