With Ubuntu dropping 32-bit support hopefully people will change to GNU Linux-libre: https://jxself.org/linux-libre/ I have no plans to drop 32-bit support and just released Linux-libre 5.4 for 32-bit machines, while Ubuntu did not.
I wrote a small thing to grab random words out of the dictionary file on this computer and played a game with myself to make a sentence out of them. It's been fun. The only rule is you have to use all of the words.
It seems to have revealed strange things happening in the world. Like: the coffee and fork are taking a taxi to the tram at sunset.
Also, that the judge played hardware bingo under the carousel with a frog and won. The reward was the icon of a bottle.
I thought of something today: When RMS was in Seattle I bought a copy of his Free As In Freedom book and had him autograph it. According to the published schedule at fsf.org he didn't give any talks after that, so I very probably have the last book RMS signed as President of the FSF.
Meanwhile, in an alternate reality: In the 1970s Bell Labs instead arranged to get a copy of MIT's Incompatible Timesharing System (ITS) instead of UNIX, and Ken Thompson ended up using a PDP-10 as a result. Later: Berkeley ported Pascal to ITS, and it was the start of the Berkeley ITS Distribution instead of UNIX.
I was trying to pet the cat with one hand. This seemed to work until she saw the other hand sitting idle and wanted me to pet her with it so I changed hands. She seemed happy until the saw the first hand, now sitting idle and wanted to be petted by it. This back and forth continued until I was eventually petting her with both hands at the same time. I guess being petted with one hand isn't enough.
I'd like to translate a GPLed program that's written in #Spanish to #English. I don't speak Spanish though. I wonder if there is anyone out there that would be interested in #translating it? No programming experience required. Please boost around the #fediverse.
Good morning, people of the internet. The cat alarm clock has woken me up once again. It's like she's saying "Are you awake yet? Haven't you slept enough enough yet? I need attention!"
