I unpacked it and now I am looking though the included files. I don't know too much about the structure of Android apps but there is a ton of insight into what its final form will look like just be exploring the contents...

The really shows how much support we have right now for alternative self hosted infrastructure and I hope prompts even more people to step up and help build this thing we call the #fediverse together.

Kitsune is a new project that has joined the fediverse recently. It's mostly written in Rust and intends on Mastodon API compatibility so it can use the existing app ecosystem. It also just got initial support for viewing full PeerTube and Lemmy posts!

There is a new #Kbin app in progress by @hariette with the unfinalized name Kmoon. They are planning #Lemmy support as well! The #fediverse is stronger with the growth of the #threadiverse ecosystem

Element really just told us if we don't like their direction of selling services to cops we should use another app. This is seriously the direction they settled on.

I discovered today that @prologic has added #ActivityPub support to their twtxt server software https://yarn.social and its largest instance https://twtxt.net essentially bridging the #fediverse and twtxt networks together.

If you are unfamiliar with #twtxt, it is a different take on decentralized microblogging that has been around for many years, and it is quite interesting to see it now bridged between this side and that one!
