I feel like there's a LOT of implementation/drama questions but... overall I think this is something worth pursuing. I imagine there even being multiple such cooperatives in time, perhaps with overlapping membership, and each cooperative could develop some form of shared resources/tech support network which would make joining that one in particular attractive.
