Today is the thirteenth day of the twelfth month of the year—13/12, or ACAB day.

Regardless of whether all police officers are the offspring of unwedded parents, all of them serve as mercenaries imposing a social order in which a few people control a vast amount of resources while others must struggle just to survive.

Selling your capacity to do violence to the highest bidder is fundamentally unethical. It is dangerous to all. Every police officer is a single command away from becoming a murderer.

The fall of Bashar Al-Assad shows that no amount of force can freeze history forever. Every autocratic regime will fall.

But will they be succeeded by other authoritarian regimes? That will be determined by how they fall.

This is the reason to build multiethnic, horizontal revolutionary movements that can play a role in the changes ahead.

The more that ordinary Syrians from all backgrounds and walks of life participate in the next phase of the revolution—the less that it is dictated by money, weapons, and agendas outside of Syria—the less bloody it will likely be.

As the millions of refugees who were forced to flee Syria make their way home, we hope that they will play a part in this.

Tonight, we give thanks for every soldier who deserted rather than fighting for a dictator. May their refusals inspire others, in turn, not to kill or die for things that are unworthy of humanity.

Burn every prison.

Topple every oppressor.

On December 6, 2008, in the neighborhood of Exarchia, police in Athens, Greece murdered a 15-year-old anarchist named Alexandros Grigoropoulos.

In response, rebellious young people rose in revolt, organizing countrywide riots and occupations that lasted for weeks.

Yesterday, during a protest against Argentina's new "anarcho"-capitalist president in front of the congress building in Buenos Aires, we saw one police officer wearing a "don't tread on me" insignia in imitation of fascists in the United States.

There's no such thing as "anarcho-capitalism." Anarchists are opposed to the state; "anarcho"-capitalists are just capitalists who oppose state regulation of the economy when it is inconvenient for them, but support and depend on the violence of the state.

Solidarity with those in Argentina fighting against capitalism, fascism, police, the state, and so-called "anarcho"-capitalists.

According to our Sudanese contacts, clashes are continuing in #Sudan after an attempt to call a 24-hour truce in the civil war between the military and the Rapid Support Forces broke down within the first hour.

This video footage shows the market on fire in the city of Khartoum Bahri, located north of the capital, Khartoum.

Anarchists in Sudan have played a consistent role in the demonstrations against the military dictatorship that took power in October 2021. As the country descends into a nightmare of militarized violence, they represent an alternative future, a possibility that must not be lost. You can read an interview with them here:

We have documented another sighting of the legendary "mud wizard," who became famous in January for tipping a police officer into the mud during the mobilization to defend #Lutzerath from a destructive open-pit mine.

Today's footage comes from a livestream of clashes in #Sainte-Soline, France, where ecological activists set several police cars on fire during a protest against an industrial mega-project. These clashes come amid intensifying unrest in France in response to Macron's government forcing through an unpopular pension reform.

Today, Twitter suspended It's Going Down (@igd_news), a longtime anarchist and anti-fascist news source that had never previously run afoul of the Twitter rules. At the time of their suspension, they had 108,000 followers.

Elon Musk was lying through his teeth when he said he believes in free speech. He bought Twitter in order to suppress the voices of those who seek an egalitarian society. Since taking over the platform, he has reinstated avowed neo-Nazis and taken guidance from those who explicitly support fascism as he targets journalists and activists.
