I’m hearing murmurs of YouTube blocking browsers that support ad blockers.

You know where you don’t have to worry about such things? Host your videos on a #PeerTube instance and use #Owncast for your live video streaming needs.

But of course you already knew that.

These kind of non-technical initiatives are important for Owncast, and I hope we can find more ways to create content that can be used in different contexts to share the project with others.

Owncast could really use some design help.

Participate in #Hacktoberfest by offering up your design skills just for a few weeks with no long term expectations.

We're primarily running into UI, layout and mobile design roadblocks and would love if somebody could help us work through some of these.

Have a designer friend who isn't on the Fediverse and might be able to help? Please share with them!

Owncast is a growing open source project that could use your help.

Specifically there's a lot of web UI (#React) that could use somebody who can focus on that. And as the project is nearing a couple years old now, it's becoming time to level-up the architecture of the backend (#Golang) to prepare for new features.
