Seriously people we need to make "It is false and defamatory to suggest that X Y" into a meme:

Rysiekúr Memesson (rysiek@mastodon.social)'s status on Monday, 07-Jan-2019 08:51:19 UTC Rysiekúr Memesson @wakest @sean yeah, I do feel strongly about this, mainly because federated social networks are at a disadvantage due to the Network Effect; splitting the field further makes this problem exponentially worse.
So, D* refusing to implement *any* other protocol (they've been asked to implement a number of protocols and refused each and every time) is actively undermining the broader federated social networking.
And the reason? Because Diaspora devs treat this as a protocol measuring contest.

Rysiekúr Memesson (rysiek@mastodon.social)'s status on Monday, 07-Jan-2019 00:04:47 UTC Rysiekúr Memesson @sean it's really depressing but hardly surprising. Diaspora devs have acted like that for as long as I can remember.
They got to be the biggest federated social network a while back and started being dicks about it. This, sadly, continues.
One of the reasons I don't log in to my Diaspora account anymore.

Your work on Hardened BSD is nothing short of amazing, and provides great reference point in discussions about security of different operating systems.
You and your work are very much appreciated, and for all the good reasons.

Rysiekúr Memesson (rysiek@mastodon.social)'s status on Wednesday, 22-Aug-2018 16:55:33 UTC Rysiekúr Memesson Story time:
Muslims are the biggest group where I live (I am not one).
When somebody tells me all Muslims try to introduce Sharia law everywhere they go, I try to explain that this not the case, based on my *personal* experience they don't have.
If they keep insisting, that's damn frustrating: they are questioning *my experience*.
So, when a minority member tells me about their experience with privilege, I shut the fsck up. I don't want to be *that guy*.
Don't be *that guy*.

I mean, clearly people are still using RSS/Atom. And they get annoyed they cannot find an easy way to subscribe.

This is you guys at work. Each green dot means someone reached out to an MEP and convinced them.
You have the power. #SaveYourInternet

Thank you so much to all of you involved directly and indirectly, supporting this by calling, mailing, talking, or just rooting for the right outcome.
Internet is not to be messed with.
They will now say that we were all paid by Google. They will all say that this was Facebook and Twitter lobbying.
But we know otherwise! We have been there. We've seen it happen.
We made it happen.
This is how you change the world for the better.

You guys are amazing. You are taking part in a political and historical process.
This is an old one, but a golden one. And it applies to 2010, 2012, and now just as well.

Rysiekúr Memesson (rysiek@mastodon.social)'s status on Tuesday, 03-Jul-2018 11:01:53 UTC Rysiekúr Memesson I'm in Strasbourg, lobbying hard. Updates soon, but was able to talk to Axel Voss, the main guy behind the current (bad) versions of #Art11 and #Art13. Doing my best to #SaveYourInternet.
Lessons from today:
- Pro-Art11/Art13 MEPs do not know how copyright law works (no surprises there, the copyright law is a mess!)
- Wikimedia Commons is a very good example of a service that could suffer very much.
- As during #ACTA, MEPs are not entirely against sitting down and discussing the issues. -

I do not think MEP Zwiefka had the explicit license from the publisher of Polityka to publish a reproduction of their article on birdsite:
