25 nautical mile sail up to Sidney today :>. All went well. Wind was perfect in the beginning, got a bit more boisterous near the end, but in all, a very good day on the water.

Found a local source of brown kiri mochi! Better than the white rice variety we've had in Japan.

Had it for lunch today, sauteed in a pan in sesame oil with veg, a splash of mirin, soy sauce, and chilies 👌

Formatting text for a story and it is SO fun. Freakin' LOVE Pandoc.
I have to add a bunch of spaces to get that lovely indent at the beginning of each paragraph, but glad I found a way to do it because it looks a-ma-zing 🤩

I am a total LaTex noob, but I finally figured out how to modify default settings for headings! By default, there is a ton of vertical space above headings (book class) so I was able to reduce that. Also, now text is centered, and smaller than the default, whoo~

I also added some words from the story lexicon as footnotes, and works well I think :>!

A friend is moving out of his boat and he gave us his left-over dry food, and now we have like... 15 extra empty spring-top jars that we can't keep (no room).
It is a shitty problem to have :(... they're great jars, but we are full-up. Wish we knew more ppl in Vic to give these to.
