on of the slogans as the locals celebrate New Years, Newroz, tonight in the Qandil/Qendîl Mountains in Başûr (southern) Kurdistan/northern Iraq, where the guerrillas YJA Star and HPG of the antiauthoritarian feminist political party for peaceful coexistence and ecology, PKK, defend the people against the war of aggression by NATO's imperialist dictator Erdoğan.

A New Years statement from the Free Trade Union of Iran release just now, rough abbreviated translation:

Nowruz is the bringer of freedom

Nowruz arrived for 1402 with the call of freedom.
The streets were filled with the slogan of freedom, "women, life, freedom" and death to the dictator.

This year, both nature and society are working together to transform winter and darkness into spring and light.

We came through 1401. A year full of sadness, filled with the pain of losing the dearest lives. But at the same time, a year full of hope for transformation, a year of the greatest determination and collective will of humanity, which promise spring and prosperity.

The New Year celebrations are a continuation of the revolution and this revolution represents the deepest transformation for the entire human society.
A revolution that clearly shows it is time for us the people to put an end to elite rule over society and all tyranny, exploitation and subjugation, and start on a new plan.

The Free Trade Union of Iran congratulates all freedom-loving and egalitarian people on the arrival of Nowruz.

On Nowruz, we will be with the families of the loved ones who died in our revolution and we will turn the coming year into a year of fulfilling their dreams.

The Iran-regime's repression forces were shooting teargas, shotguns and kalashnikovs at the people in Bukan of Rojhelat/NW Iran, maybe about an hour ago to stop them from celebrating the new year,

After a few days of reports of fires having been started on several continents for the explicitly antiauthoritarian New Years event between March 19-22 by the (worldwide most commonly used) Gregorian calendar, the Kurdish/Persian/Iranian Newroz/Nowruz, here's a video published ½ hour ago from a Newroz event taking place in Exeter, Cornwall, U.K.

The current year is 2722 Kurdish and 1401 Iranian.

The freedom guerrillas in Rojhelat/NW Iran whose slogan "Women! Life! Freedom!" (Jin! Jiyan!
