✅ Tusky 25.0 is officialy out, in F-Droid and Play Store 🎉 🎉 🎉
These are the main updates to this new version:
➡️ Support Mastodon translation API ➡️ Show post language ➡️ Improved screen transitions ➡️ Filter settings now moved to account preferences ➡️ Post stats now have a stable position ➡️ A lot off under-the-hood stability & performance improvements.
❗ Also, #Tusky 25.0 app is smaller in size despite having more features.
The #Tusky team has lost a few contributors this year for various reasons, and we need your help building a kick-ass Mastodon app!
While we would also appreciate more technical contributors, we are specifically looking for: - a person who can manage or help with our social account - a project manager who can help us draft a Code of Conduct
The Tusky team is bigger than ever, but two more known faces are stepping back.
Hi everyone, maloki here. Conny announced his resignation to our matrix channel last night, and this has some people worried. We've been working on this hand over for months, as both him and I are stepping back.
We've now made an official update on our Open Collective , where you can also support the team going forward!
✅ View trending hashtags from the side menu, or as a tab ✅ Edit image descriptions and focus points after posting ✅ Better ordering of languages when writing a post ✅ Mastodon v4 filters ✅ Show the differences between different versions of edited posts ✅ Accessibility improvements
Previously, if you switched to the Notifications tab, scrolled up or down, and then changed your filters you would be returned to the notification that was focused when you switched to the tab.
That might be quite far from where you were when you changed the filters.
Now your reading position in the notifications list is retained, and you'll be returned to the same place when filters change.
- Fixed crash when viewing a thread - Fixed crash processing Mastodon filters - Links in bios of follow/follow request notifications are clickable - Android notification for a Mastodon notification should only be shown once - Android notifications are grouped by Mastodon notification type (follow, mention, boost, etc) - Potential for missing notifications has been removed
But of course there is a lot of other changes as well: With #Tusky 20 you will be able to set the focus point on images and follow hashtags. The media tab on profiles has been improved a lot, and Android 13 is now officially supported. And of course a whole lot of bug fixes which should make Tusky 20 more stable than any version before.
We're seeing a huge influx in new users of our app! Thank you everyone for chosing to try out #Tusky!
If you can afford to, it would go a long way for our project if you'd donate the equivalent of $1/month (but at a yearly base so $12/year, because it lowers fees!)
