Facebook will lay off 11,000 people.

This recent trend of tech CEOs writing these explainers meant for multiple audiences is interesting.

I don’t recall CEOs of car companies, for example, writing documents for the employee (affected and not) and the public, when they laid off tens of thousands in previous decades.
