I'm in a similar boat. I like Evernote because you can dump there pretty much anything but the simplicity/speed and reliability of Simplenote tempt me

If Evernote make more changes similar to the one when they restricted concurrent devices, that might be the tipping point that helps me make the move

@wzhd @TQ I'm interested too. I'm trying to learn some Apex which I assume is too niche but I heard it's similar to Java so Java and similar languages would be good for me

@victriviaqueen @ink_slinger I have a basic profile, it requires almost no maintenance. I wil use it extensively if/when I look for a new job as I have made multiple interesting connections with little effort. If I remember well, there's a setting to receive LinkedIn messages into your email account. I just read about data-mining (annoying) but up until now, I was quite happy with it

Today there's an article in a #catalan website about alternatives to mainstream social networks (mentions #mastodon and #diaspora) and their benefits. It claims that many struggle financially (precisely because they don't make money out of user's data) and it considers what could be done to make them more popular: mainly pushing posts to mainstream ones and public sector and organisations leading by example

Today a cyclist that delivers sandwiches in a trailer was cycling in a park (where it wasn't allowed) and due to uneven pavement the trailer tipped over about 1 meter from me 😥

Last thing I need is to be crushed by sandwiches
