It is disgusting that Democrats in Congress would wear AR-15 pins following an attempt on Donald Trump's life with an AR-15.

Oops, no, I got that wrong. These are the AR-15 pins worn by GOP members of Congress after schoolchildren were gunned down in yet another school shooting using an AR-15.

The response... 😂

I cannot image why any brand is still advertising on X/Twitter. Look at this post by someone advocating for raping children. Even if you assume it's meant to be edgy parody, it's offensive and violates Twitter's policies. Not so fast--the post has been reported and Twitter responded it hasn't broken any of its safety policies. Why would any serious marketer want their ads on #x or #twitter platform any longer?!

I'm not saying we live in the dumbest timeline, but these are all recent headlines.

I took days off from Mastodon & almost didn't return. I considered why I find Mastodon even more annoying than Twitter, which is saying something. The reason is politics. If I stick to COVID, my engagement is fine. (Not everyone agrees with me, but that's fine.) But, if I post about my progressive politics, I find I'm attacked not by conservatives but by hyper-critical, nattering lefties. The purity tests here destroy political discourse. I'm going to have to block more on “my side” of politics.

Are you unhappy with Elon Musk's actions at Twitter--banning journalists critical of Musk, preventing links to Mastodon, promoting divisive voices and hate speech?

Just a reminder that if you continue to post on Twitter, you're not “fighting a good fight.” You're just contributing to Elon's engagement, ad views and revenue. If you want Twitter's owner to see how his actions might damage the platform and his business, your only course of action is to decline to participate, not post even more.
