I’ve repeatedly been told so-and-so is evil, and such-and-such is an enemy of all that is good in the world, and when I dig into the “evidence” it leads either to nowhere and nothing reliable, or to extreme right-wing campaigns against marginalized people. My advice: support victims and survivors, but never join a mob against an individual that other individuals are obsessed with attacking at every opportunity despite none of that person’s online behaviour matching the claims about them.
