Thinking about how the 'person does not exist if not on facebook' situation happened, I think it's learned laziness: On Facebook you broadcast your life to the world and relevant people will see it VS having to get a hold of friends to talk with them.
This created a culture where you do not put in effort to update people you care about on your ongoings and it's entirely on them to be there and keep up to date.

Sin duda 😉. Antes había que gastar millones en espías e investigadores, ponerlos en riesgo e invertir en misiones independientes. Ahora sólo en máquinas: servidores y almacenamiento, energía, hardware, software y gente operando. Seguro es muchísimo más eficaz y barato 😂. La gente por sí sola les hace básicamente todo el trabajo regalando su información.
Explotan la necesidad humana de la aceptación (el ego). Muy bien dicho, son unos genios 😉.
