Tek resources? Yipe! (tek@freeradical.zone)'s status on Friday, 16-Aug-2019 15:36:40 UTC Tek resources? Yipe! We ran out of coffee beans yesterday, so this morning I broke out a bottle of Trader Joe's concentrate I had sitting around. Well. I apparently misjudged the coffee:water ratio badly because my heart is beating like a hummingbird and I can smell plaid.

"Oh dear. Ive gone and bungled the enchantment. Time moves differently in here than outside. Look out the door for yourself."
The mob leader turns around and looks in shock and horror.
"Wizard, if it is true and you truly did not even know we were here perhaps this can still be set right. Let me talk to the people.
You however have to give them something. They want leadership, real leadership and protection.""I suppose I have little choice. I can set up magical wards around your village and fields and have some foodstocks shipped in"
"Thank you...your majesty."
"By the way" Renalt said "What is your name?"
"Its Boris your majesty"
"Alright Boris let them know I will deal with their troubles."
Renalt sighed realizing his dreams of an observatory would have to wait.

He had been working on the finer points of
an enchantment that would slow down time in a small area.
The size of a food larder or smaller. He knew if he could perfect it that
the sale of such an enchantment could render him wealthy enough to build an observatory.Something he had wanted to further his true passions
of astronony and the magics related to the stars.Suddenly he hears loud pounding on the great oaken doors of his tower.
With a sigh he puts down his chalk and slowly wanders down the stairs
muttering "Eh keep your breeches on im coming."After descending two stories to the entrance floor Renalt speaks a command word and the doors open inward.
"Is this the delivery of my liquers? I wasnt expecting them for another month, but you can leave them right on the table there."
As his eyes adjusted to the daylight pouring in what he saw shocked him.
Ten, no twenty, no more. People. Barely clothed, dirty, people. All of them holding rather sharp farm tools.
"Are you the wizard Renalt?" Asked one of the people in front, an apparent leader of the unruly mob.
"I um...yes I am. Is there...something i can help you with?" he said, voice shaking.
"Our village is poor, we have no food, no water and no defenses. Monsters take our children in the night."
"Well thats awful, but I had nothing to do with that you see."
"Yes wizard, we know. Thats the problem. You sit in your tower and do nothing while your people suffer."
"My..my people?" he stammered "This valley was deserted when i built this tower. It couldnt have been more than 6 or 7 months ago?"
"Wizard now is not the time for jests. We all know this tower has sat here for six years. We built our village here near it hoping it would offer some degree
of protection, or at the very least scare away bandits and monsters." -
