@dgar @fkamiah17 Since you brought up all of this old nostalgia, I still remember wrestling to get my very first dialup PPP 28.8K connection going. There wasn't anything easy about that. But once I learned, the rest was history.

@dgar @fkamiah17 I had a site on my ISP at the time which was FishNet. I remember the URL which was www.pond.com/~matts. That was back in the day of Apache UserDir.

@dgar @fkamiah17 Geocities was really cool though. I remember seeing and reading some good stuff. Since the internet got super corporatized it got boring. At least the fediverse is making things interesting again.
