Life update: packing up all my stuff, and slowly beginning to move to my friend's place, who generously offered his basement. He lost his wife recently, so he could use some company, and I can use a bit of a buffer to look for a reasonably priced apartment instead of grabbing the first thing that comes my way.

I am slowly trying to get used to the thought that I might not be able to afford to live in New York anymore.

I am so extremely grateful for all the cats that people of Mastodon have sent me today. Your fur babbies are adorable, and they made me day better. ❤

I see Connecticut got flooded. I guess because I live in a place from which I can *see* Connecticut I also got flooded. 😕
