Xerz π [UNMOVED]
@angristan I mean, I'm already using it, but I wanted to just host with a decentralized network node, and I don't know how long will I keep trusting GitHub, so I rather wanted it as a fallback

Xerz π [UNMOVED]

Xerz π [UNMOVED]
@angristan (plus it would be really cool if it could act as a DAT or any other decentralized protocol node)

Xerz π [UNMOVED]
@angristan ...well yeah it seems like they're using Google indeed.
...what can I use instead...? I can't really spend anything :thinking_happy:

@angristan Wait, that's not right, I thought Hashbase was using Heroku which is from Salesforce :thinking_very_hard:

@angristan (and I want the website to be fast so people don't have to wait to visit it regardless of connection/computer)

Xerz π [UNMOVED]
@angristan because free hosting is not supposed to be blazingly fast

@angristan using CDNs my website loads for the first time in ~2 seconds on my connection with the latest Firefox, otherwise it takes up to five lol

@angristan (that free hosting being Hashbase.io and GitHub Pages)

Xerz π [UNMOVED]
@angristan It's not because of that, I just want the website to boot immediately on free hosting while still using custom fonts (Font Awesome, Overpass) or whichever picture is needed.

Xerz π [UNMOVED]
@angristan also I get why you wouldn't want to use CDNs, but is loading from your own servers fast/reliable enough? At least while we can't use HTTP/2
