Kids are asking about the Fourth of July parade in Washington DC:

"Why does Trump need a parade of tanks?"

The setting I want on most sites that send email is: "Only on Human Action".

If someone talks with me using your chat. Or if they "friend" me. Or whatever your platform does. An email is probably reasonable.

What I don't want is your automated attempts at "increasing engagement" or encouraging "daily active use." Those are all spam to me and make me want to disable all email for your domain.

When I get too much mail you want me to blame the humans, not your platform.

My son was having problems with Steam on his account and asked me to help. I sat down and popped open a terminal.

"Oh my! You can send commands directly to the computer!"

Added a request that Gitlab would support ActivityPub for sharing events externally. If you think that'd be something you'd use, and you have a Gitlab account, please give the ticket a "thumbs up".
