When I launched Google Chrome for the first time (and let it sit for a minute), 32 requests were made, and 7.26 MB of data downloaded.

@unfa How much effort is it for you to upload videos to Peertube? Ideally, you should be able to just import the video from Youtube (including description etc), and thats it. Maybe in the future, Peertube could even mirror channels automatically, without any user action.

And having videos on Peertube still seems like a good idea, because with Youtube there is always a chance that your videos get taken down with a copyright strike.

I'm not going to bother uploading my videos to #PeerTube any more. The work I have to put into that is not worth the optimistic 1.6% of views I get from YouTube.

Almost NOBODY uses it. And even I can't find my own stuff there without a link.

Sadly PeerTube as a platform is a non-alternative to YouTube. The tech is neat, the P2P aspect is great, but it only works as a backup video hosting for me.
