It's my pet theory that the availability of the Twitter-to-Mastodon cross-poster has harmed Mastodon's adoption by giving people an easy way to change nothing about their social media habits, and pretend like they have checked out Mastodon without ever being here.

Every time I bring this up I get responses à la "not all cross-posters!" and well, if you don't think it's about you, don't make it about you

Every time I remember this movie I think about how pissed off I am about Mace Windu.

He was so awesome. He had a unique fighting style that allowed him to kill the Sith by reflecting their own force onto them.

Apparently this is also why he survived Palpatine's initial attack that so quickly killed the rest of the Jedi masters. He wasn't just screaming, that was a force scream that overwhelmed them.

Heard the fan theory that Padme didn't simply die of being said, but that Anakin was knowingly or unknowingly using life drain on her, and that's how he survived his grave injuries until he was found.

Disappointed in myself that we don't have all possible variations of the thinking face emoji on mastodon.social

I'm trying out a script by @tateisu that deletes unreferenced remote toots from the Mastodon database. Seems to amount to about 10-11% of all toots for both of us. On one hand, it's great that there is so little junk, on the other hand, cleaning up such a small number is disappointingly not a game changer.
