I started a new project in 2016 to rewrite GNU/Social and lost interest not long after. Late last year I picked it back up and made a lot of progress until I realized I should be using ActivityPub over OStatus. When I realized pleroma existed and mastodon had matured a lot I decided to focus on something else.

Sometimes you don't get it right the first time but never give up! I'm glad I gave up socialnode/socialhub because :pixelfed: would never exist otherwise.
