También es cierto que a muchos les habrán vendido la moto de que eso es lo que hay que hacer si no quieres echar la persiana. Hay muchos puestos de trabajo, digamos de consultoría, cuya existencia depende de que las empresas se traguen el cuento del marketing digital. En lugar de dedicar más presupuesto al producto en sí se lo dedican a eso.

Este artículo en concreto en realidad es de The Guardian. Pero sí, suelen (como muchos) denunciar a Facebook (y solo a Facebook) porque por lo visto atrae lecturas. Son, digamos, "colaboracionistas del régimen" de espionaje corporativo que denuncian.
Todo el mundo que quiera vivir en este sistema tiene que ingresar dinero. Obvio. Pero tampoco vale como excusa para todo. Por lo menos habría que admitir la incoherencia y trabajar para, con el tiempo, evitarla.

2018 was the year I concluded that any system whose purpose is to measure, capture, and monetize human attention is immoral and inevitably leads to the erosion of the commons and society itself. In 2019 I'm committed to helping dismantle these systems by all possible means.
Concretely this means supporting nonprofit alternatives like mastodon, blocking all ad tracking (sorry, people whose livelihoods have been captured by that industry), and doing whatever most damages the attention industry.
