On July 4th Gab is coming on to the Fediverse by switching over to Mastodon on their servers.

This means that you can shut the door on them today by preemptively have them fully suspended from your instances. So your users do not have risk getting harassed by any of their users, and they from the start be blocked off from major portions of the Fediverse.

When someone does a whole writeup about a feature you merged into your app, which is basically a step to disallow connections to certain harbours of hate, you know you done good. I'm so happy to read these words today.

I still view us as an interim-group working to get this off the ground. So we started with the basics. Most of our decisions will be based on the discussions we’ve already held during the meetings and in between about what we want, the ones you’ve joined for.

So we’re starting with a name.

First Order Of Business: Laurelai, Maloki and PaulFerence are rejecting any direct involvement in management, interim-committee, or the committee of the ForkOffTogether initiative in its first FULL year.

This should offer a good time frame to build the governance that You folx want for this w/o us.
