   it annoyed me greatly that a large number of AMD fanboys were all "oooh AMD>Intel" over spectre/meltdown etc. and AMD played into it, knowing full well that it was purely a marketing ploy, not an actual architectural immunity on their part.

   and now we have this.

   there are going to be lots of exploits now, for years, because people are now actively looking for them.

   tribalism isn't going to help anyone
