@paul In one of #EbenMoglen's speech he tells why it's bad (I think it's on: https://media.libreplanet.org/u/libreplanet/m/the-free-software-movement-in-the-age-of-trump/ ). Also on payment systems (currency a agnostic), see the #GNU #Taler project: https://gnu.org/s/taler .
@NeoTheThird I didn't watch the video yet, and although you mention #Ubuntu, which isn't #FreeSoftware (per https://www.gnu.org/distros/common-distros.html#Ubuntu ), I do agree that bringing parts of #GNU is good, specially those under #AGPL-3.0-or-later and #GPL-3.0-or-later. Or foster #Replicant for general use instead of #LineageOS (or custom #ROMs), not even #Fuchsia is good according to Eben #Moglen (see https://media.libreplanet.org/u/libreplanet/m/the-free-software-movement-in-the-age-of-trump/ ).
@bob I can't watch the video now, but if #Fuchsia continues to be, as Eben #Moglen said in #LibrePlanet, a way for #Google to remove strong #copyleft from #mobile, then #FreeSoftware and ends users will have difficulties regaining control of their computing and material environment in that platform. https://media.libreplanet.org/u/libreplanet/m/the-free-software-movement-in-the-age-of-trump/
