   What is Fascism?

   
   It's always a good idea to know what one is up against. This is especially true regarding Fascism, which is all too good at disguising itself. To believe that fascistic tendencies aren't rampant in the USA at present is to fail to recognize danger.
   
   This video (23 minutes) is an explanation of what constitutes fascism. Also included is a paper on the various markers identifying fascism, written by Umberto Eco, 1995. I've watched the video and found it helpful. Next is to read Eco's paper. I expect it will be quite enlightening, considering his experience as a boy and young man in Italy in WWII.
