How do people find each other on the fediverse? Anna chose a server for plant-lovers, while Bob chose a server for foodies. Anna's handle is @anna@plants.social and Bob's handle is @bob@foodies.pub. They can find each other using their @username@server addresses, just like email! A network diagram is shown to describe this relationship. Side note: Imagine what it would be like if everyone had to use the same email server... so why lock ourselves into social platforms that way?
