Photo of a platypus floating on the surface of beige muddy water. The mud was stirred up by the platypus foraging for worms. Its fur is brown all over and its beak is grey. The front webbed feet have white mottling. The claws on its right back foot are visibl, with no sign of a spur so this is probable a female. The pouches that close over its tiny eyes when swimming are white inside and give the impression of eyelashes.

We have a little resident platypus living in our creek.😍 This week, we've seen it twice during the day and captured it on trailcam every night.
