Photography. An unusual color photo of a dark hallway with open double doors leading into another room. The wooden doors have small square window panes and the glass above them has the same design. The floor is covered with orange desert sand and the yellow sun shines brightly through the glass parts of the door into the hallway. The warm image shows the remains of an old settlement whose houses are being reclaimed by nature over time. The houses are filled with sand. Info: Kolmannskuppe, or Kolmanskop, is an abandoned settlement in Namibia. The ghost town is located about ten kilometers east of the port city of Lüderitz in the Tsau-ǁKhaeb National Park. Access is strictly controlled and leaving the settlement area to the south is also prohibited, as diamonds are still mined in the restricted area.
