Definitely noticing a lot less InfoSec-area engagement on my Twitter account. Surprised how many have moved to Mastodon. I really like the Twitter editor, trying to find out right way to selectively post on each platform as I don't want them to be 100% the same.

SwiftOnSecurity (swiftonsecurity@infosec.exchange)'s status on Thursday, 24-Nov-2022 10:50:02 UTC SwiftOnSecurity Another trick people see the results of but don't understand:
I harshly cull tweets at intervals throughout the day. My success is not an accident. People who pay attention to Twitter with many followers forgive an uninteresting tweet.
But the people who check every 12 hours later want only quality. So I snuff out tweets I don't feel meet the criteria. This is what it takes in that environment. It's not someone you want to live the world through.

They are fascinating and funny. Like, if I don't get a handful of reshares within 90 seconds I know it's not a good one.
This enormous instant feedback loop is huge in effectiveness. You get a feeling for the currents.James Broadhead repeated this.
