     @srevinsaju That's odd, works for me in Firefox, fails in Chrome... even in incognito mode.

     In Chrome 107.0.5304.121 (stable track), I see the text in the DOM, but it just won't render.

     Nothing seems odd in the CSS, and other sites render normally. 🤷

     @srevinsaju I restarted Chrome Stable, and now it HN renders just fine.

     We'll never know what triggered it...

     @codewiz Apparently these happen to me very frequently because the CSS files get truncated by my hostel WiFi sometimes, and it gets cached 😢

     @codewiz It's Dark Reader on Firefox https://github.com/darkreader/darkreader and on Chromium (which I don't use a lot), I have chrome://flags force_dark_mode flag enabled

     @srevinsaju Ah, that could be it! I *think* I tried ctrl+shift+R to clear caches, but I might have not... or it might not reload other resources.

     @codewiz Dark Reader supports chromium too, but I think Chrome's internal implementation has slightly better performance, and the annoyances were minor. But Dark Reader has a per-site configuration. For example, in the image, I have Dark mode toggled-off for mstdn.io
