I feel I should add, to not misrepresent events, that there are also many reports, photos and videos of people killed by the repression forces, also today,
as well as five more people sentenced to State-murder (death "punishment") for protesting the regime's oppression.
I will not share forward such imagery, because you do not need to see it. I have seen it.

Mahabad now flying a flag of Kurdistan to the classic slogan of "martyrs are immortal" (for the result of their actions while alive).
Mahabad was the center of the Republic of Kurdistan which wanted to join the Soviet Union before it was known how it would act, as yet another state of that federation, but which the Soviet Union threw to executions and oppression by Iran for its own convenience.

Reminds me of when just at the start of this revolution, after the massacre of about 100 people incl children protesters in Zahedan, Iran-held Balochistan in the southeast, the teachers' union organized a blood donation campaign in Rojhelat Kurdistan, northeast Iran.
