     @pseudoramble Funny, I also took a long hiatus from anime after middle school!

     But in my case, Hokuto no Ken was one of the *last* anime I watched while still in middle school. Then I lost interest in TV altogether, until anime came back as an Internet geek subculture.

     @codewiz this was one of the first animes I watched after a very long hiatus from them (from middle school to post-college). This one probably isn't for everyone, but it definitely made me re-appreciate the art form!
