Last year the artist and creator of Gobliiins, Pierre Gilhodes, ran TWO crowdfunding campaigns for Gobliiins 5:
A French one for a goal of €3,000 that received €6,950, and an international one for a goal of the same goal that ended up receiving €7,774.
That's around $16,000 total.
It appears that the plan is for him to make the entire game by himself in Adventure Game Studio. -

It will come in a form of 4 executables, with 4 puzzle levels per each, because Pierre couldn't quite figure out AGS. This is about as indie as it gets, folks. -
