#Neovim has more GUIs than I can count, but they're all at the demo / concept stage, and even those market as "active" aren't in fact very active:

@elijahmanor I like the neovide concept, but neovim-qt is probably more mature.

@elijahmanor I used to use vim GUIs for the better X11 clipboard integration, better mouse support and red underline squiggles for errors.

Now there are modern terminals like #WezTerm that can do all of this and more:

@codewiz Nice! I typically stay in the terminal, but I know there are a lot of cool features that the GUIs can offer

@elijahmanor I'd like smooth scrolling and cursor move animations (helps track where it went with motion commands).

@codewiz I JUST saw that terminal today for the 1st time. I should give it a try. So cool

@elijahmanor @codewiz I checked it out, looks good, but my Kitty Terminal is already as I like it.

@elijahmanor I'm trying it out, and I like the cursor animation with the cubic timing, but the scrolling animation is too sluggish no matter how I configure it.

I'm not sure if I should blame the Lua interpreter, neovim or wezterm.

@codewiz it's not as smooth as some of the GUIs, but the mini.animate plugin is nice https://github.com/echasnovski/mini.nvim/blob/main/readmes/mini-animate.md

@elijahmanor I had a much smoother text editor in 1987 on my 7MHz Amiga 500:
