   So, some fun trivia. When Anime Herald was founded, some of the biggest #anime shows airing at the time included K-On!!, Strike Witches 2, Black Butler II, Shiki, and High School of the Dead.

     @animeherald Personally, I was watching Heroman! It wasn't anything super special, but, I mean, a mecha anime from Stan Lee & Tamon Ohta, and produced by Bones? Sign me up!

     Plus, it was just a ton of fun to watch.

     I'm thinking of an old "boy and his mecha" anime series, but the mecha was mid-sized.

     Ah, there! Astroganger is the one I had in mind! I never watched it as a kid because it had already been overshadowed by the newer generation of mecha anime: Jeeg, Grendizer, Gundam, Tekkaman...

     @animeherald @sam_animeherald All right, I'll give it a try.

     As a kid, I also watched Baberu Nisei (aka Babel II and Babil Junior).

     There's a 2001 remake, but it's not nearly as good as the 1973 original.
