    La semana que viene me va a llegar una calculadora científica que siempre quise tener y que pude conseguir muy barata en eBay. Es la Texas Instruments Voyage 200, una versión mejorada de la TI-92 Plus. Corre una versión recortada del software Derive para cálculo diferencial e integral, y se pueden escribir programas en el lenguaje TI-Basic para graficar cosas, resolver ecuaciones, etc. Fue la mejor calculadora en su momento por su potencia de cálculo y herramientas aunque la más famosa fue el modelo anterior y más voluminosa, TI-92 Plus. Ambas tienen la misma pantalla y procesador (Motorola MC68000 de 12MHz) y 188kB de RAM y la Voyage 200 cuenta con 2.7 MB de almacenamiento para el usuario, programas y sesiones. La serie TI-92 y Voyage 200 tienen un teclado QWERTY pero el firmware también está presente en las TI-84 y TI-89 con un formato de calculadora clásica. Hay/hubo toda una comunidad de programadores que portearon versiones del Tetris, Mario y hasta el Doom que se pueden jugar en su display de matriz de punto de 240x128. El firmware se puede actualizar desde una PC con un cable, y cargarle programas adicionales. Una verdadera belleza

    2. TI-92 series
      The TI-92 series of graphing calculators are a line of calculators produced by Texas Instruments. They include: the TI-92 (1995), the TI-92 II (1996), the TI-92 Plus (1998, 1999) and the Voyage 200 (2002). The design of these relatively large calculators includes a QWERTY keyboard. Because of this keyboard, it was given the status of a "computer" rather than "calculator" by American testing facilities and cannot be used on tests such as the SAT or AP Exams while the similar TI-89 can be. TI-92 The TI-92 was originally released in 1995, and was the first symbolic calculator made by Texas Instruments. It came with a computer algebra system (CAS) based on Derive, geometry based on Cabri II, and was one of the first calculators to offer 3D graphing. The TI-92 was not allowed on most standardized tests due mostly to its QWERTY keyboard. Its larger size was also rather cumbersome compared to other graphing calculators. In response to these concerns, Texas Instruments introduced the TI-89 which is functionally similar to...

      Due to the keyboard layout, programming on these is miles better than on the 89 (Titanium)

        The TI-92 series of graphing calculators are a line of calculators produced by Texas Instruments. It also features a somewhat smaller and more rounded case design.Like its predecessor, Voyage 200 is an advanced calculator that supports plotting multiple functions on the same graph, parametric, polar, 3D, and differential equation graphing as well as sequence representations. Its symbolic calculation system is based on a trimmed version of the calculation software Derive. In addition to its algebra and calculus capabilities, the Voyage 200 is packaged with list, spreadsheet, and data processing applications and can perform curve fitting to a number of standard functions and other statistical analysis operations. The calculator can also run most programs written for the TI-89 and TI-92 as well as programs specifically written for it. A large number of applications, ranging from games to interactive periodic tables can be found online.The V200 is easily mistaken for a PDA or a small computer because of its massive enclosure and its full QWERTY keyboard — a feature which disqualifies the calculator for use in many tests and examinations, including the American ACT and SAT.

      @santiago ¡una excelente calculadora!

      Yo todavía tengo la mía de cuando estudie la ingeniería, fue de mucha utilidad y de hecho la preste a un buen amigo cuando entro al ramo del ahorro de energía, también le resulto de gran utilidad.

      Ya la tengo de vuelta pero ahora utilizo la versión emulada de la ti-89 en f-droid en mi smartphone (solo porque me acostumbre a usar el dispositivo en modo vertical):

      @djpeluca yo tenía esta agenda digital Casio, en el bachillerato y cuando entré a facultad. Yo guardaba mi contraseña del correo electrónico y alguna password más, creo que la del ICQ. Era como tener una especie de laptop, agenda, contactos, etc. Tenía calculadora pero no era científica. Aparte, tenía una Sharp EL-506G científica. Luego las agendas electrónicas quedaron en el olvido. La imagen la tomé de --> https://retroordenadoresorty.blogspot.com/2021/07/casio-digital-diario-sf-3900er-128kb.html

      @santiago @djpeluca fa, que nostalgia, yo tenía una de estas (creo que todavía la tengo por algún lado), creo que es más simple. No recuerdo bien que hacía con ella más allá de guardar contactos, pero veo la foto y me acuerdo de los sonidos y cómo se sentían los botones. Que viaje

      @ernestomiquel @djpeluca Si, la mía desapareció en acción en 2000 y poco. Me suena esa también, era de las que la tapa era sola de plástico, mi viejo tenía una que la pantalla estaba en la tapa y era mas gordita. No puedo acordarme el modelo, creo recordar que era de 256kb
