     @jwarlander Yes, plenty of Covox clones about. Not in any way similar to what SBEMU is doing though.

     @dosnostalgic Reminds me that the do-it-yourself LPT DAC was a thing back then.. It was a substantial upgrade from the built-in PC speakers! (https://jubatian.com/articles/building-an-lpt-dac/)

     @dosnostalgic I tested that ~2w ago when I got hold of some binaries on vogons.
     didn't work on my machine sadly. But i'm hoping for the best!
