   I lived in #Japan for 3 years and I absolutely loved it, but it was a lot more challenging than here in the United States. Everything from opening a bank account to paying taxes was unreasonably complicated, and not just due to the language.

   I wanted to fund a tech startup in Tokyo, but these barriers made me reconsider the idea. Perhaps one day...

     Opening a bank account: no problem.
     Getting credit cards: same. (I keep seeing people on Reddit complaining that they can't get credit cards).
     Paying taxes: I have nothing to do, my employer does everything.

     No change from France, I'd say it's even easier and quicker.

     @codewiz super easy, just went to driver license center, fill a form, take a vision test, a picture, and after roughly 1h I got my license. (Converted from the french one).
