@a2_4am I wouldn't want to dissuade anyone from watching it. I don't expect any kind of accuracy from "based on a true story" film. Hell, most of them are nearly completely made up. I just wanted some dumb fun. But the movie is awkward and poorly written. And then about an hour in stops having anything to do with reality, so all of that just compounded for me.
@cameron_talley There's a BBC documentary "Tetris: From Russia with Love" with actual first hand accounts by Pajitnov, Rogers, Belikov, Stein, Lincoln, and several others.
@dosnostalgic I enjoyed the negotiations part. I also appreciated that the ending car chase went into video game mode, implying it wasn’t real. (Which of course it wasn’t). David Sheff’s account in Game Over will always be my favorite retelling.
